Cuneo, 31 August 2021 - Kimera Automobili's activities have continued unabated and on several fronts - even in this summer period - to complete the launch of the EVO37 model.
From a technical point of view, the fine-tuning of the car was completed, while in parallel the production of the first units started. During the upcoming Autmn, the car number 1 will be delivered to the first customer to have believed in the project, and - to follow - in a short time also the other very first international customers will receive their car.
Unveiled for the first time last May and subsequently presented to the public at the beginning of July at Goodwood, in a prototype version with still some specifications to be defined, Kimera EVO37 continues its "Tour" as a protagonist in the most exclusive European automotive events, aimed at collectors and amateurs of vintage and modern supercars.
In recent days, from 27 to 29 August in St. Moritz in Switzerland, Kimera EVO37 made its official debut on the road on the occasion of Passione Engadina. A wonderful event of international importance, reserved to "top collectors" of Italian vintage cars produced by 1991, to which is added a selection of modern and exclusive super & hyper cars.
Passione Engadina has reached its 10th edition with the awareness of bringing to St. Moritz the beauty of Italianity by tradition, taste and style. The participation in the meeting saw the crews come mainly from Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Austria, Italy, UK, but the interest in non-European countries is growing more and more.
In the magnificent setting of the Swiss mountains Luca Betti, CEO of Kimera Automobili and rally driver with an impressive international curriculum, drove the latest evolution of the EVO37 in road legal configuration with pre-series interiors that prefigure the definitive ones made of full carbon, Alcantara®, leather and other precious materials. These interiors are strongly reminiscent of those of the road 037 and S4, to which the EVO37 is inspired. The body paint has also a new livery, in the metallic gray color that recalls precisely that of the rarest S4, built at the time in only 5 units.
From August 31st to September 5th, this EVO37 together with the red car unveiled at the presentation of Kimera Automobili, will be exhibited at the Salon Privé, held in the beautiful scenery of Blenheim Palace, near Oxford, UK. Salon Privé has been one of the most famous Concours d'Elegance since its first edition in 2006. It was able to impose itself immediately as a social event at the end of summer, for that particular touch of glamour, which contemplates the presence of refined restaurants and winks at the world of fashion. During the week, the main road in front of Blenheim Palace, will see the parade of legendary car models.
Kimera EVO37 has fully entered this four-wheeled elite. In fact, it is an "authentic evolution", which is inspired by the philosophy of Restomod and takes this concept to the extreme, drawing its origins from the past to revive an icon of world motoring, bringing it to the maximum possible performance development.
20 of the 37 limited series units, have been assigned to clients from across the world. This is a huge success for the Company and is testimony to the high quality and seriousness of the project.
The Kimera EVO37 is a supercar with a maximum power of 500 hp that produces 550 Nm of torque from its 2-litre engine. It features four in-line cylinders with turbocharger plus volumetric compressor, designed from scratch under the guidance of Claudio Lombardi, who designed all the engines for the legendary Martini Racing team cars.
The entire project was conceived of with respect for the past, involving the team who worked on the models that inspired the EVO37. However, it was the younger Alessandro Bonetto and Carlo Cavagnero, together with Luca Betti and his staff, who have made the EVO37 a reality.
Kimera Automobili develops and produces its cars using the same methods and industrial processes of the most renowned automotive brands, with added attention to detail, craftmanship and with the use of high-grade innovative materials. Involved in the EVO37 project, in a unique team, are Turin's finest specialists and suppliers: Italtecnica, Bonetto CV, Maps, LAM Stile, Bellasi, CiElle Tronics, and Sparco. In addition are other examples of Italian excellence: Goodwool, Pakelo, Andreani - Ohlins, Brembo and Pirelli.
